Just stick to your calories, drink lots of water, and stay away from sodium. Once you're off the steroids the water weight will be gone again fast. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
cheryl2586 3,053 Posted February 6, 2013 unfortunately this is one of the side affects of steriods. It should resolve once you are off of them. If you are going to be on them longterm I would ask your doctor to switch you to something else. It makes you retain Fluid very badly that is why the weight gain. hopetolose 192 Posted February 7, 2013 I had to be on steroids about a month ago and just started another round yesterday. I gained about 5 lbs, but it went away within a few days if stopping them. Try not to go to crazy eating... It stinks :-) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
