Kathi 0 Posted April 17, 2006 I am very happy for all of the bandsters before me, BUT it is finally my turn! I leave tomorrow for San Antonio, for my pre-op appointment, and surgery is on Wednesday. All of my pre-op tests were good and I have followed the pre-op diet faithfully, so I know I am ready physically, but I am going through all of the emotions that all of you had too. Thanks to everyone for their support on this forum. I really enjoy this site and have learned so much. I can't wait to see you on the other side!!! Bandland here I come! DonnaB 3 Posted April 17, 2006 Yay! Congratulations on your surgery date. Here's my one piece of post op advise: If you have post op gas pain, you may get a little bit of relief if you stand next to your bed, bend forward from waist and put your forearms on the bed resting your forehead between them. If it's more comfortable, bend your knees a little. You can also rest your whole chest between your forearms to give your feet a rest. This was the most comfortable position for gas pain relief for me. It looks a little crazy but it worked for me and for the other 3 ladies who were banded on the same day as I was.
