Spaness2012 609 Posted January 30, 2013 In an effort to get my mind off of being hungry (on liquid pre op diet-day 8) and the anxiety of my upcoming surgery (Feb 7th) I thought I would treat myself to a ME day! Hour massage and facial was just what I needed to "check out" of my head for a few hours! Feeling relaxed and happy right now! What things do you do to try and shut your brain down from the process? 2 ☠carolinagirl☠ and Terry Poperszky reacted to this

Jewelsm1127 351 Posted January 30, 2013 I did the same thing. 1 hour deep tissue massage and a pedicure and eyebrow wax. Loved it! 1 ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this

Jewelsm1127 351 Posted January 30, 2013 I have 90 minute deep tissue massage scheduled on Friday, looking forward to it. 90 minutes! Man, my guy beats the crap out of me in 60 minutes (strong 21 year old with good arms). I had one on Sunday and I'm still hurting today! If I had 90 minutes I'd be in traction! Enjoy Terry!!! 1 Spaness2012 reacted to this

Jewelsm1127 351 Posted January 31, 2013 Which is why I don't have a male therapist! Excellent point. I guess you've got Mistress Band and I've got the Masochistic Masseuse! But even my therapist gets a massage at the salon he works at and he has it done by this woman (Mary). He told me when she got a hold of him and started in on one of his arms he dropped the F bomb! Either way, enjoy. If I had a need (and could afford it) I would go for massages weekly. But once a month is better than nothing!
