alknva 16 Posted January 28, 2013 I am struggling with sleep. I go to sleep fine but wake up at crazy times in the night. I'm usually a sound sleeper all night long. Just wondering if this is normal or if others experience this?
ladybabie3 109 Posted January 28, 2013 Nope I'm going through the same thing I had my surgery on the 21st. and haven't had a good night sleep since. I am now back to work and pray this will change soon.
CatLady0626 45 Posted January 28, 2013 When was your surgery? I'm 10 days post op and I'm dealing with this too. I'm naturally a stomach sleeper and I sometimes wake up on my tummy in pain. Also could have to do with pain meds. Some are kind of addictive and if you stop taking them you could have trouble sleeping.< /p>
Jewelsm1127 351 Posted January 28, 2013 I took no pain meds but for the first two weeks post op I swear I was waking up every two hours. Now, I'm back to my usual sleep pattern. I was banded 12/21 and I've been sleeping fine for a few weeks now.
alknva 16 Posted January 28, 2013 I had my surgery on the 23rd. Completely off pain meds. I usually sleep on my side but because of the uncomfortable feeling and soreness I'm staying on my back.
tigerlillie 43 Posted January 28, 2013 I was banded on the 21st and I am off pains meds too and can't sleep. I can only sleep on my back for a couple of hours and forget my sides, too uncomfortable. I end up sleeping propped up before the night is over. Ugh
alknva 16 Posted January 28, 2013 I'm so with you. I go to sleep pretty quick but then up at 1 to 3 in the morning for about 5 hours before I feel like I'm going to crash! Hope it works itself out soon cause I don't know what else to do.
CatLady0626 45 Posted January 28, 2013 I slept in my recliner for the first few nights and that allowed me to get a few consecutive hours of sleep. Good luck, it's not pleasant when you can't sleep well :-( 1 chantelleb816 reacted to this
