☠carolinagirl☠ 18,721 Posted January 28, 2013 I am a little disappointed in my journey right now. I am 12 days post op, I have been on mushies since day 7 & I am using Fitness Pal to count my calories. I am not going over 1000 calories per day & nothing is happening. As a matter of fact l have not gone over 800 calories since the surgery:( I am hoping its the whole body healing or not getting enough calories problem. I go for my follow up on Thurs & maybe my dr can give me some guidance. 😩 just because (the scale) is not showing a loss yet does not mean its not working..your body does need to heal (yeah it sux because we want to lose 20 pounds a week).....so try and find some patience. if you stick with it, following the band (diet foods/amounts) it will happen. 1 MsRhonda reacted to this

I am definitely learning patience. Lol! I keep telling myself to suck it up for the first 6 weeks but man it is hard not to get down. At least I'm not starving & upset:) I have noticed a huge difference in my appetite. Very seldom am I hungry between meals & it doesn't take much to fill me up during a meal. My biggest struggles are getting my Protein in (because I'm not hungry) & eating slow with out drinking! I have GOT to master slowing down & not grabbing my glass. My dr said the Protein will get better once I can eat more. 1 ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this

CYH 0 Posted February 3, 2013 Had surgery 3 days ago, still very sore and taking pain meds. Haven't lost weight since pre op. How much walking should I do?
2muchfun 8,927 Posted February 3, 2013 Had surgery 3 days ago, still very sore and taking pain meds. Haven't lost weight since pre op. How much walking should I do? That would be a question for your doctor? A rational answer would be "as tolerated" at this point. Don't expect weight loss until you start getting fills. tmf
Cloud_dance 5 Posted February 3, 2013 I did my measurements and I lost three inches around my waist. It is a start! Also I switched out most of my carbs for Protein items so I hope I can break 300 by the end of this week. *fingers crossed* 1 2muchfun reacted to this
cole&matt'smom 72 Posted February 3, 2013 I went to my 2 wk post op on Thurs. I was down 1 lb. & my nurse seemed very disappointed. She stated most patients lose 10lbs their first 2 weeks. I explained my lack of BMs & the fact that I was bloated due to my period starting this week. She told me to drink Magnesium Citrate to help get things going. I did the Mag. Citrate on Thurs & Sat. I went a few times but nothing like she said it would be. I am probably going to my regular Dr tomorrow for X-rays. I have had BM problems since my partial hysterectomy in Aug. I saw my regular Dr in Oct concerning it & he put me on Mirilax & stool softners. Nothing really happened:/ I have been doing the stool softners since Thurs & took MOM last night with the Mag Citrate. I just wish I could get straightened out:/ I don't think my weight loss will ever get on track if my body will not get rid of waste. Hoping we will figure out what's causing the problems!!!
