waterlily1072 5 Posted April 15, 2006 Not urinating nearly as much as normal. I thought I was doing good getting my fluids in. Is this normal, am I dehydrated? :help:
sarahv 0 Posted April 15, 2006 I don't know where you live, but if it's like here (Chicago burbs) it's gotten much warmer recently. When it heats up outside you should probably up your Water intake as well - since it takes more to keep us hydrated in warmer weather... I'll take words of wisdom from experienced bandsters here and say Sip, Sip, Sip!!
Mystjin 0 Posted April 15, 2006 Are you getting all your fluids in? You might call your Dr. if you are. If you're not drinking enough you could be dehydrated and you might want to step it up some. Good luck! I can't wait until I get banded!
DonnaB 3 Posted April 15, 2006 If you're not peeing and you're not bloated or swelling up anywhere, you're probably NOT getting in enough fluids. Up your Fluid intake and if the situation doesn't change, call your doctor. If you're swollen or have fluid retention in your legs or hands, call your doctor now. None of us here are doctors (that I know of), you'll have to use your best judgement.

Elisabethsew 50 Posted April 16, 2006 Drinking more and peeing more  I am pretty sure I was way dehydrated. Since you can't measure your urine output at home like we do in the hospital (I'm an RN), go with the color. What you want to see is a light amber color. If you see bright yellow, dark yellow, or an orange tinge to it, DRINK, DRINK, DRINK!
