jacqs 42 Posted February 8, 2013 yes, the infamous "food funeral," i often wonder if that is one of the reasons behind the pre-op diet, so that the patient doesn't binge like a crazy person right before surgery. it definitely has not been easy, drinking the Protein shakes and eating as if i have a band but not actually having the limitation it provides. i had a mini breakdown yesterday when i realized i was one month away from surgery...excited that it's close but also bummed out because 4 weeks sounds like forever! 1 parisshel reacted to this
Rojasanoll 920 Posted February 8, 2013 Congratulations to all upcoming March Banders1 You will all do good and let the "tool" help you. We already know almost all diets don't work. Best wishes 1 parisshel reacted to this
ShannaS 63 Posted February 8, 2013 I have kind of started getting into the groove of my pre-op diet. I have a ten day liquid diet. I decided to start now and at least do Breakfast as liquid. So today I had a Protein Shake and a yogurt for breakfast. I think this is a good way to ease into it all. Then I won't have a huge shock going from full food to full liquids in one day! Yikes! 1 parisshel reacted to this

SnapIGotThis 44 Posted February 10, 2013 Just wanted to pop in & say "Hi". I am currently waiting on my insurance approval. I thought I was gonna get a Feb date but it's looking more & more like it may be March now. Once the papers were in I had to go get an ekg then was told I needed a pulmonary function test. All was submitted last Fri. Fingers crossed. 1 SeaSounders♥ reacted to this
