My doctor was ok with Diet green tea (I use Arizona brand) sipping that helped a lot. I was still cranky for the first 2-3 days though.

I agree keeping up with the Protein Shakes helped me. I know I upped my morning shake to 12 oz of skim milk with a scoop of powder to help me through the morning to lunch. SF Jello really helped as it was something to chew and I usually had a bowl of chicken broth when I got home from work to hold me over to "dinner" -another shake with the family. The time will go by faster than you think and once you make it to day 6 or so, it really becomes a routine. I am 3 days out from surgery so I was where you are a few weeks ago. Best of luck!

Just keep in your routine.. Your body will get use to it.

Know that the end prize is worth it. From experience too if u mess up it makes it harder to get back onto it! So just stick with it! Itll get easier.

I had Protein Shake in morning and lunch. Then just drank flavored water throughout the day :)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
