hm...(this is not good) as not being able to keep things down is dangerous...you sound (that is if you have fills) maybe way too tight. i personally would call your doctor and let them know what is happening and get this took care of.. congrats on that superb weight loss.....please call the dr and then let me how what he says...hang in there okay

I agree that I think a call into your dr. is in order. Sometimes stress, illness, etc can cause the band to be tighter and if you cannot keep anything down, there is a chance it has slipped too (sorry, don't want to scare you) just think it is very important like CG said too to call your dr. and find out what's causing it. I hope you feel better soon.

I agree to call your doctor. If you havent had a fill recently and this is happening you really should have your band checked soon.

Call your surgeon's office. You might have a slip! Good luck

This happened to me. My band became tight all of a sudden on its own, with 3.5 cc. Barium would barely drip thru. I had a complete unfill 7 months ago, I've lost with no fill, but still have restriction. My EGD/esophogram were both normal, showed no slip, erosion, but my stoma is about half the size of the band itself. My doctors feel that scar tissue built up between the band and stomach causing the stoma to be much smaller than it should be with 0cc in my 11 cc band. You need to get to your bariatric surgeon ASAP. Keep us posted.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
