dylanmiles23 2,198 Posted January 23, 2013 I joined a gym about one month ago. I go 4-6 days a week. I ride a recumbent bike for 30 minutes and then do arm and leg machines each time I go. My husband thinks I should not do the machines without a day off in between, Is he right? I took my body measurements and the thighs have not moved in one month!!! Thank you for any help. MzDetermined 3 Posted January 23, 2013 Yes, he is right....you have to allow your muscles time to recover. So maybe rotate days for arms and legs. Maybe a staff person at your gym can guide you. 1 dylanmiles23 reacted to this
mytimenow53 12 Posted January 23, 2013 Do what makes you feel good. It's all about you! And you are building so your body is getting stronger and firmer. 3 sabz, ☠carolinagirl☠ and dylanmiles23 reacted to this
2muchfun 8,927 Posted January 23, 2013 Aerobic exercise is good to do every day, but strength needs a few days off between. 1 ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this
marizela 0 Posted January 23, 2013 Also, mixing it up helps.. If you do the same workouts 6 days out of the week your body will get used to it and you won't see much change. You should give your body at least 2 days to recuperate and rest. You don't wanna hurt yourself either. Good luck
dylanmiles23 2,198 Posted January 23, 2013 You are all wonderful for helping me. Thank you very much. I told my husband that this wonderful site, LapBand Talk would answer all my questions. Enjoy your evening. Very very cold in Boston this week. Maybe riding the bike will warm me up tomorrow. 1 ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this

dylanmiles23 2,198 Posted January 26, 2013 thank you for the info. I only walked yesterday and did the bike today and a few machines for about 15 minutes. I am not going to do machines tomorrow just the bike. I really enjoy going everyday.
