prairiedog 21 Posted January 22, 2013 Pain is the right word for me. I was in a great deal of discomfort, mostly from being blown up with CO2 for the surgery. My first three days post op were not fun, but on my 5th day now, I'm feeling soooo much better. I did and will continue to walk walk walk!
prairiedog 21 Posted January 22, 2013 Oooops I meant pain is NOT the right word for me
FLORIDAYS 3,040 Posted January 22, 2013 Not at all.... in fact I never took any pain meds. The only discomfort I had was the gas for about a week.

DELETE THIS ACCOUNT! 12,703 Posted January 22, 2013 My pain was very minimal. I didn't even take prescription pain killers after I left the hospital. 1 hely88 reacted to this

zburdeshaw 98 Posted January 23, 2013 I had surgery yesterday and my port is sore. Is that normal?
Jewelsm1127 351 Posted January 23, 2013 I had surgery yesterday and my port is sore. Is that normal? I think it's definitely normal. I couldn't so much as sleep on my stomach for at least two weeks post op. now at four weeks it doesn't bother me at all.
zburdeshaw 98 Posted January 23, 2013 Thanks. Is there any way to relieve the gas pains?
prairiedog 21 Posted January 24, 2013 My port hurt for about 3 days and is now just uncomfortable. I'm 6 days post op. As for gas, chewable gas x worked a little for me but mostly walking helped the best.
Jewelsm1127 351 Posted January 24, 2013 Thanks. Is there any way to relieve the gas pains? I never took the gas x. Every store in my vicinity seemed to be out of the strips. I used a heating pad and walking...kept the pain from gas to a bare minimum.
♕ajtexas♕ 3,771 Posted January 24, 2013 Thanks. Is there any way to relieve the gas pains? The best relief is to walk as much as you can and use a heating pad. I had very little pain.
