I have used unjury and Body fortress. Both were good but Body Fortress is a lot cheaper. You can get it at Walmart. I found that the colder the shake is, the better it is.

Good luck!

My favorite is Muscle Milk chocolate light (1 scoop), 1/2 c frozen blueberries, 10 frozen strawberries, 1/2 frozen banana, a handful or two of spinach (you can't taste the spinach but you get all the benefits), 1/2 c greek nonfat yogurt and 1/2 c almond or soymilk. Add whatever amount of Water you want to make it the consistency you prefer. Blend in blender till smooth. Sometimes I add a small green apple and/or 2 T PB2 and/or 1 T Chia seeds depending if I have it or not. It's delicious! :)

I invested in a good blender....every morning for Breakfast I add i scoop of 100% whey...Plus a Protein additive, and then add different fresh fruit combo's such as a banana, pineapple, assorted berries, sometimes Peanut Butter, chocolate, and once or twice coffee.....

Can also use yougurt, skim milk, or just plain water....

I also add a non-thickening Fiber supplement for colon health.....

The health club I belong to charges $5.75 for one of these....I copy their recipes....

Many here should pay attention to calories.....my smoothies rarely exceed 300, but that is my breakfast....

I tried the pre-mixed Protein Drinks and can't stand them...

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
