hummingbird7 18 Posted January 19, 2013 I was previously registered as Joni700, but something technical went wrong, so I had to re-register. I had my surgery on 12/31/13. So far, doing well. I've lost 16 pounds so far and am trying to move more each day. I can use all of the tips or suggestions you might have. This forum has made the journey much easier. Thank you all. Kekeboo 47 Posted January 19, 2013 Are you walking every day? That is a huge help to the recovery process. I started out the day after I got home and walked to the end of my driveway and back or around my dining room table. I worked my way up to around the block. It sooo very important to keep moving. Everyday, have a plan and stick to it. I find making daily menus and routines helps. Enjoy the journey, it's gonna be hard and sometimes discouraging. But if you fast forward life and can see the end result...it will be so worth it. 2 schampange and hummingbird7 reacted to this
hummingbird7 18 Posted January 19, 2013 Thank you for the words of encouragement, KekeBoo:-) I have to admit, he first two weeks after surgery, I was exhausted when I would take just a short walk. I'm a therapist, so unfortunately I sit in a chair much of the day. My staff is starting to make jokes about how much I get up and randomly walk around the inside of the building several times a day now. As soon as the snow melts, my daily walks with my little doggie will increase significantly too. 1 schampange reacted to this
