ROLOHONDO 0 Posted April 14, 2006 HEY ALL, I HAVE BEEN BANDED FOR NEARLY 3 YEARS, WILL BE 3 IN JULY. I INITIALLY LOST 80 LBS, BUT HAVE GAINED 45 BACK. HAS ANYONE HERNIATED A POUCH ABOVE THEIR BAND? JUST CURIOUS. I HAVE NOT HAD ANY TEST DONE, WONDERED IF ANY OTHERS HAVE. I THROW UP ABOUT 5-7 TIMES A WEEK. SOMETIMES BECAUSE I MAKE BAD CHOICES, OTHERS FOR NO RHYME OR REASON. WOULD LOVE TO HEAR WHAT YOU ALL HAVE TO SAY. BYE FOR NOW.....RO

shellyj. 0 Posted April 16, 2006 sounds like your band has slipped, another word for "HERNIATED A POUCH ABOVE THEIR BAND" can also be called a 'prolapse'. you DEFINITALLY should be talking with your dr. there are a few things you can do! get a total unfill and see if the band 'slips' back into place get a total a partial unfill and see if the band 'slips' back into place you need to get back to bandster basics and avoid PB'ing at all costs! 5-7 times a week is a LOT! its not good for your band or belly! plus if you are eating afterwords you are likely irritating your band more. call your dr, talk to him/her and if keep trying! after you have a unfill for a month or so you can start back with getting refilled.
