Rckstrmom 1 Posted January 19, 2013 Hey everyone! I had my first dr visit today and it went great! I've lost 12lbs and I'm so motivated. However, I am having a deep growling in my stomach and I'm trying to just drink Water. I'm asking myself if I'm hungry and all that but I really am hungry! Please help with suggestions during this period.. I don't get a fill until feb
♕ajtexas♕ 3,771 Posted January 19, 2013 2 weeks post op. what diet does your doctor have you on? Your body is still healing and as the swelling goes down you will feel hungry more & more. Drink lots of Water, eat sugar free Popsicle and keep yourself busy (clean closets, garage, walk, do crafts, etc). You are entering into the stage we call Bandster Hell, the time between the surgery and having restriction. Also, focus on your meal sizes, small bits, chewing and waiting 1 minute between bits. It's tough but you will make it through this! Good luck to you. 3 DELETE THIS ACCOUNT!, dee257 and ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this
Tinagrl23 0 Posted January 19, 2013 I also found that eating sugar free pudding helped me get through those first 6 weeks. Target has a big selection too!! Don't try and eat regular food to fast. Just stick with what the dr says.
Rckstrmom 1 Posted January 19, 2013 ajtexas.. Thanks so much! I thought I was going crazy! My Dr has me on puréed foods right now and then soft then solid. I'm practicing chewing 30 times to trigger my brain (hard to do with mush) but I figured I had better get ready. I'm still a tad bit sore so I have been keeping the exercise at bay. I saw the dr yesterday and she told me to go ahead and begin. Great advice on keeping busy.. I will do that!
