Bye bye plus size department

Recommended Posts

I have been a little dissapointed because I have been stuck just below fifty pounds lost for the last month.I want to make fifty in five months. But I went shopping in the misses department and a large womens paint was to big and a 1x blouse swallowed me whole.

I went to the juniors department. I fit in a medium pair of pants and a large top. I told the lady in the plus size department see ya Im shopping this side of the store now.She knows I have had surgery and was very happy for me.:clap2: :clap2: :clap2: GO BANDY GO BANDY GO BANDY

That is so exciting, congrats! One of my goals is to be able to walk into Victoria's Secret, find something sexy that actually fits me and be able to wear it for my hubby! :uwelcome:

I've been in the "reg" sizes for a while now, but everytime I walk into a store with a plus size too, I always start looking in the plus size first.

Congratulations on your new sizes.

Unfortunately, Victoria Secrets is not a place I can shop, still got the big hooters.

HA!! I just went shopping yesterday & had a funny thing happen. I have always automatically gone to the Women's department because that's all that ever fits me. I got some size 1X clothes & headed to the dressing room. NONE of them fit me - TOO BIG!! I went to drop off all the clothes & the lady taking the clothes said to me - "Do you want to keep any of these?" I told her they didn't fit & I'd have to keep trying. She whispered to me - "I think you might be happier shopping in THAT section." (She pointed to the teeny-boppers area.) I truly thought she was joking!! But, I headed over there & picked up the size LARGE & they fit perfectly. I was doing the Happy Dance in the dressing room!!

I have officially checked out of the X club!! (1X, 2X, 3X, 4X) I never thought I'd see the day. I'm a size LARGE!! :)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
