Sounds like you need to try softer solid foods or try eating something really wet before attempting something with the consistency of ground beef. Maybe using some wet condiment would help it slide through better. The advise about drinking warm tea or Water to loosen the band has been suggested to others with this problem.

My first "solid" food was the insides of a bean burrito from Taco Bell - nice start to my post-op life, huh? There were circumstances, I swear! It did go down well though.

Yes, the hot tea helped. Feels much better now.

So is this the way the band reacts in the first stages of solids? Will it get in a better temper at some point?
