kca1fan 326 Posted January 18, 2013 How do you determine the calories in something you made from scratch? For example I made homemade beef and drop noodles and had 1 cup. How do I determine the calories?
this sucks 557 Posted January 18, 2013 If you use an app like MyFitnessPal, you can create recipes by scanning the labels on each of the ingredients and entering in the number of servings. Or, you can just search the ingredients and add them that way if you don't use a smartphone. That way you have accurate nutritional information. It gives you calories, carbs, sodium, fat, etc. per serving. I have saved a lot of my favorites and use the info all the time. 1 zinhaa reacted to this
DELETE THIS ACCOUNT! 12,703 Posted January 18, 2013 I do it the same way as rkimom but I use Lose It! It has a section for recipes so I either scan in each ingredient or just manually type it in. Then, it's saved for the future, so any time I make the same thing again I just pull it from the database. It's really easy!
