jsws91 153 Posted January 15, 2013 my son just turned 14 and developed a milk allergy. we couldn't figure out what was going on but he had vomiting and severe stomach aches off and on for a few months. Dr tried different things, none helped, then finally did a scope.and a biopsy and discovered the allergy. 1 newMEin2013 reacted to this
sunflower72 34 Posted January 16, 2013 In my class today the dietician said you can possibly become lactose intolerant after surgery, everyone is different. 1 newMEin2013 reacted to this
Peaceful1 110 Posted January 16, 2013 Im so glad you posted this, because I think I have become lactose intolerant since my surgery, and a few people on here told me it's absolutely not true...but here you are! Lol....did they say WHY? Im having the opposite issue...lactose makes me constipated, bloated, and I was in fact in the hospital last night for extreme gas, which can be caused by lactose intolerance. Are you getting a test? I want to make sure if I really do have it or not! 1 newMEin2013 reacted to this
sunflower72 34 Posted January 16, 2013 They said because everybody reacts differently, for example some people after surgery can handle small amounts of bread while others can not. So im just mentally preparing myself for that possibility.
