Kime-lou 648 Posted January 15, 2013 If you can't afford to pay out of pocket try and do things like banders do. Eat less at meals, move more, drink lots of Water. It can't hurt. 3 wallflower, Instyle98 and DELETE THIS ACCOUNT! reacted to this

Jim1967 3,569 Posted January 15, 2013 I would appeal to the insurance company. I would not take a straight up no. My insurance company told me it wasn't covered either but when I got the policy in writing it said something different. It said "if medically necessary" and they required a 6 month supervised diet. 4 Maddysgram, DELETE THIS ACCOUNT!, wallflower and 1 other reacted to this
DELETE THIS ACCOUNT! 12,703 Posted January 15, 2013 Care Credit offers a line of credit for medical procedures, like Lap Band. I would apply and see if they will cover it.
FLORIDAYS 3,040 Posted January 15, 2013 I understand... My policy didnt cover it... I appealed as you can but if it doesnt cover it... it doesnt cover it. Its not like they denied you... its universal to that plan. I was able to cut a deal with the dr/hospital.... for a flat fee. Half down and payments to the hospital for 2 years. Which actually were reduced after my 2md payment to half if I paid it off...which I did. Believe me when I tell you.... its worth every cent! Fantasy 104 Posted January 16, 2013 I paid cash and it was the best money I have ever spent on myself. I have always believed that where there is a will there is a way. You have gotten some good suggestions here. Good luck. 1 Jim1967 reacted to this
BayougirlMrsS 3,935 Posted January 16, 2013 you can also look in to other cards. We have a care credit card (husband's lasik surg) and i was going to use it for my Tummy Tuck, but when i saw the interest rate i was shocked. Even with our excellent credit..... So i went to the bank intending to take out a personal loan, but my friend at the bank said, Chris, open a Chase Slate card... 0% interest for 15 months.... So that's what i did... Maybe that will work for you if you can't get approved through insurance. 3 ☠carolinagirl☠, wallflower and Jim1967 reacted to this
