Please HELP!

I need some help with my hunger.............Im out of control......

Please Help.............................................

I had a second fill the first of february and finally felt some restriction with it but it didn't last long enough maybe 2 weeks at the max.

My husbands company changed insurance carriers and they don't pay for anything having to do with the lap band (Bluecross and Blueshield Of Florida).

So the fills are coming farther apart because I have to pay the 500 dollars in cash. My next date is set for May 18th for my 3rd fill and I'm totally out of control now, yicks!

Yesterday I ate soooooo much.

I picked at everything in my fridge and cupboards really I did and then I ate one of those frozen diet meals that just teases you with 2 ounces of mashed potatoes and finally finished off my feeding frenzy with a slim fast chocolate bar. I need Help:help: I'm such an addict..............

Don't you worry, you will feel restricted in no time. Just think of how you are so worried about eating too much and you used the slim fast bar and diet frozen dinner. Can you remember what a binge would have been like pre-band!!!? Look to that as progress. Even though you don't feel in control now, you probably have so much more control that you did pre-band. I am in the same boat and can't tell myself no. But instead of eating a WHOLE pizza it's eating a WHOLE child's burger from the local fast food place. Today is a new day and you can start over! Thank god for new days!!

I know this is easier said than done but eating more Protein and staying away from dense carbs will help ward off the hunger and the cravings.

What I would do is fast for one day, get all the cravings out of your system (take your Vitamin and drink lots of Water, sf drinks are okay too). Then try the next day to eat protein & veggies first, "trying" to stay away from the potatoes, breads, rice, chips, stuff like that. Oh and those bars only make me crave more sweets and lots of it.

I know its hard, I'm struggling too. I will start my fast tomorrow.

Hugs and good luck.

BTW, Your stats are GREAT !!!! come on girl, you can do it... hang tight.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
