Are u post op? If so how long? Or have you been using straws? Or drinking carbonation. Tons of variables. Need more info. But always your dr is the best place to start

OP has posted in the POST-Op board and a quick look at her profile shows she had surgery on December 28 which makes her about two weeks post-op.

My gas pain was gone at about 11 days so if I was you, I would speak with your medical team.

Good luck and hope you are feeling better soon.

There is a stomach virus going around, or maybe you ate something that didn't agree with you. When it's air in your stomach it's always best to keep walking just like post op, make it move.

well. i was gassy and was #2 queen but def not in discomfort you are posting..that being said, the advice to call your dr is accurate...but until you can get in to see them monday, how about walking, sipping your liquids to stay hydrated...that should help but def try not to throw up..if you eat or drink too fast, that could/can make you feel as if you have throw up..so go slow

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
