bodacious98 0 Posted April 12, 2006 Last year my insurance company told me I had to do a 6 month diet study before I could have lab band surgery. I did the 6 month diet study and now they are still denying my claim. Please let me know if you have a successful story with regard to how to fight the insurance company. Thanks so much. Maybe they don't have all the information needed, I know that working with my insurance has also been trying and I am making sure all my little ducks are in a row. I would call your doctor's office and have the insurance rep there give them a call and find out exactly what the problem is. They will be more willing to give the doctors office information (alot of the time) than to us. Most insurance companies will try whatever it takes to not have to pay. You just have to keep after them!! Don't give up! It is a long process. I'm right there with you, hopefully I will be approved in July. I am doing the 6 months now... according to my doctor's office, that was the only thing in my way. So come July we will see. Good Luck to you! Just keep trying!
