stephgfl 13 Posted January 11, 2013 I'm on day 9 and I expected to be tired and crabby, but much to my surprise I've actually felt more energetic than usual. I had a little bit of stomach trouble in the beginning and of course I'm hungry but I'm really surprised by how good I feel. Anyone else? 1 PattyGirl66 reacted to this

CHEZNOEL 4,061 Posted January 11, 2013 I had no problem with either the pre-op or post-op diets. I guess I just knew I had to do it and decided not to fight. I really wanted the band, so I was up for just about anything!
FLORIDAYS 3,040 Posted January 12, 2013 I'm on day 9 and I expected to be tired and crabby, but much to my surprise I've actually felt more energetic than usual. I had a little bit of stomach trouble in the beginning and of course I'm hungry but I'm really surprised by how good I feel. Anyone else? After day 5 I was just dandy... Headaches gone, hunger not even too bad...it's like my body got used to the nutrition I was feeding it and adapted. It was hard of course just the fact of not eating but every day I would step on the scale and it was a smaller number than the day before so I was a happy camper. 1 JARS517 reacted to this

Lyndsey Fleming 0 Posted January 12, 2013 I lost 11 lbs during my pre surgery diet, which everyone needs to do in order to shrink your liver. It was hard for me the first few days, but I got used to it. I did feel better around day 3, but then noticed I would feel light headed and dizzy, but my on call nurse told me to drink more liquids, since I might be dehydrated. I felt better after taking her advice.

daisychains7 427 Posted January 12, 2013 Frankly, I felt like a physical and emotional wreck. It was the worst part of the process for me. But I promise you those feelings do not last forever.
