Internal Stitching in Lapbanding - Dr. Dolan

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

First post on here, love this website have been reading it religiously since my first appointment.

I had my surgery three weeks ago with Kevin Dolan at Glengarry and all went well.

My question is for anyone who went through Dr Dolan does he stitch the actual band to the stomach to avoid slippage? I have looked at quite a few websites and all the videos explain that the actual band is stitched as well as the porthole is stitched. I never spoke about this with Kevin and wanted to know, dont mind either way but was interested to know.

Cheers :D

yes, my band was stitched to my stomach (i forget how many he told me, 6 or 8) and my port was stitched as was my plication...def helps hold it in place. not a guarantee but def helps.

I can't imagine any doctor would skip this procedure? How else would it stay in place?

I think most surgeons stitch it in place.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
