sakwilla 2 Posted January 10, 2013 Hi all, First post on here, love this website have been reading it religiously since my first appointment. I had my surgery three weeks ago with Kevin Dolan at Glengarry and all went well. My question is for anyone who went through Dr Dolan does he stitch the actual band to the stomach to avoid slippage? I have looked at quite a few websites and all the videos explain that the actual band is stitched as well as the porthole is stitched. I never spoke about this with Kevin and wanted to know, dont mind either way but was interested to know. Cheers
☠carolinagirl☠ 18,721 Posted January 10, 2013 yes, my band was stitched to my stomach (i forget how many he told me, 6 or 8) and my port was stitched as was my plication...def helps hold it in place. not a guarantee but def helps. 2 CaGottaBand and CHEZNOEL reacted to this
2muchfun 8,927 Posted January 10, 2013 I can't imagine any doctor would skip this procedure? How else would it stay in place? 1 ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this

CaGottaBand 498 Posted January 10, 2013 I think most surgeons stitch it in place.
