Hi,

Im two months post op and can't stop over eating...i also have not had a fill yet...today after calculating my intake i came up eating 1400 cal. Just to get in my nutrition in. its a pain because i don't get sick eating and drinking that many cals...i shouldn't be eating max cal of 1200... on the other hand i did drop 30+ lbs..since October...any ideas

The band isn't supposed to stop you from eating anything. It's not supposed to make you sick/vomit from eating too much either. I think you may be expecting it to do things it's simply not meant to do. Here's a link that I think should help: http://drsimpson.net...estriction.html

The band is a great tool, but it's just that, just a tool. The work will always be yours to do, including stopping yourself from over eating.

I would recommend taking your food logs into your nutritionist and letting them help address your issues.

You're in "bandster hell". That's where your band opening(stoma) is still fairly wide open. So, until you get enough fills to find some restriciton, you're basially on a diet. Sorry, I wasn't told either and I was starving for 4 months till I got my 3rd fill. Work with it and try to eat very healthy foods in this time. Just don't eat junk.
