What scales to people use (for people, not food)? I have a great scale that is hooked up wirelessly through my laptop. However I am about to throw it out the window. Seems even on the hardwood floor it just doesn't stay level. Case in point weighed myself Friday and then again on Sunday and according to my very expensive piece of crap scale I have gained 7.2lbs. Mathematically impossible as my total calories for those two days was 1900 and net calories was 1100. So any help you can lend would be appreciated as I am not getting on this scale anymore!!!

I have a digital I got at Walmart a few years ago I leave it in one place and never move it..it doesn't matter what it says as long as it records the correct amount up or down and its within 5 lbs of any other scale (like the doctors).

Could you have eaten really salty foods? I gained 5 pounds one weekend. Which like you was physically impossible. Also have you changed the batteries.

How high does your scale go? My cale went to 300 (I was high 2's) and my scale weight flucuated so much it was annoying. My husband got me a new scale goes up to 400 pounds. I said I'm losing weight not gaining, he said it will work better and it did. Same thing happens if you try to put a half of pound to 2 pounds on the scale. It's hard to get consistent accurate readings. I think it helps when the scale range is a lot larger than your weight. (lol or I have a better scale now b/c it only differs am to pm which is typical, not everytime I step on it by 1-12 pounds)

Thanks. I can try to change the battery as I have had for awhile, but no salty foods either. So perhaps just a really expensive bad scale :)
