evlyn1971 26 Posted January 9, 2013 My pcp recommends I get 53 g of Protein a day. Is it bad if I go over? The last three days I have gone over by at least 10g. I have not been banded yet, waiting for wl center appt. but my pcp put me on this 1410 calories a day and 53 protein. She says the more weight I loose the less risky the surgery. I don't want to mess it up. I have lost 3.6 pounds so far.
FLORIDAYS 3,040 Posted January 9, 2013 I am not a dr but If you are going over the Protein but not the calories I do not see how that would be harmful. 1 LouisianaLiLi reacted to this

Kime-lou 648 Posted January 9, 2013 My nutritionist recommended 60 g of Protein a day or more. As long as your calories aren't going over the extra protein is great. Just make sure you are drinking enough Water.< /p>
taysidebell 176 Posted January 9, 2013 Mine says 60 to 70 Protein I would not worry, but speak to your surgeon or nutritionist next time you visit. And keep to your cup or cal guide.
