I went to Kohl's today and was surprised at the big selection of good Shapewear. Expensive shareware upto 60% off! I purchased two camisoles at $18.00 each!

I ran my first 5k this December and wore under armor compression running tights/pants for cold weather (it was 30 degrees..eek) along with under armor top that compresses too.

I found that both Nike and Under Armor running gear in the compression styles really is enough, even with the excess skin. They are a bit expensive, but I felt it was worth it (depending on budget). Its actually what I'm wearing in my profile photo :)

I did have a good bit of loose skin all over.. Went to a consult for removing but it was just to costly. Then I started doing bodywraps faithfully once a week and drinking lots of Water. Now I have just a little more to go. It detoxes and breaks down the fat cells making them smaller. I love them. www.45minutesandgone.com if you want to check them out.

I am a bit skeptic about it, but honestly I will try anything. I was actually going to start doing the wraps now to see if I can tell any difference at all. I notice my skin moving all over now from exercising. I still have a long way to go on the weight loss, but hey I will fight this tooth and nail if I have to!!!

Thanks for sharing :)

I didn't want to just tighten with clothes, I want to get rid of it that is why I chose the body wraps.

How well do the wraps work and what exactly is the process, how expensive, how often? My doctor sai there is nothing we can do about sagging skin so I am very curious.

They detox shrinking the fat cells making them smaller each time. I pay $15 a wrap. 4 pack is $59..I wrap a average of 3 times a month

Do you do them at home or go to a spa-type place?

Never skimp on running clothes. Compression tights will make your running experience so much more pleasurable. I don't have loose skin but I still need to be held tight to enjoy running.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
