Bandzamakeherdance 5 Posted January 6, 2013 Hey everyone. I'm also two days post op and have been having a lot of gas pain. I've been drinking Water, walking around, and of course taking Gas-x. It helps, but I'm still in pain. I see that people keep mentioning heating pads, and this may sound stupid, but where would I put the heating pad to help with the gas? Thanks! Debbie3sons 1,936 Posted January 6, 2013 U might not ever get rid of the gas, I had surgery in Sept 2012 and I still get the non stop belching or well u know lol I tell people just don't get to close lol mostly us girls and I just try to stay far enough so I don't get embarrased if guys r around and about the heating pad I had a rough time so I just used my hot water bottle on my back but they also say to put a lot of pillows behind u , I know when I did I could sit & sleep better I could also get up eaiser but if the Doctor prescribed u pain meds TAKE THEM ALSO SIP SIP SIP that's my only suggestion that worked for me but try diffrent things so u can find the one that works for u .
