candtwalker 46 Posted January 5, 2013 Hi Carla, I'm Carla too! I have Tricare Prime South. I had no issues getting approved. But different regions have different provisions. Taking it one day at a time.
Miss V 41 Posted January 5, 2013 Hi ladies, I also have tricare south. My Dr. Is sending my paperwork in on Monday or Tues as long as I do not need any additional testing, I am just praying everything will go smoothly! For Carla #1 why so they keep denying you and what region are you in. For Carla #2, what state are u in and how long did it take for your approval to come through? candtwalker 46 Posted January 6, 2013 I am in Texas. After I had my nutrition consult and my psych eval, it only took 10 days to get approval from Tricare. Total time from 1st doctor visit to surgery was 3 months. Taking it one day at a time.

Miss V 41 Posted January 6, 2013 That sounds great, my paperwork will be getting sent in for APPROVAL next week! The lady in charge of the finance and insurance dept at the hospital said that Tri-Care usually gets back with the approval/denial in 72 hrs or so! I am hoping this is the case for me! I am so tired of jumping through hoops and just waiting to get on the band-wagon!!!
