Out of network?

Hi all, I was wondering if anyone went out of network and still got approved? I finally found a Dr. That I like a lot. I have Horizon blue cross. She takes my ins. But not the type I have. The ins. Specialist told me it is still possible they could approve it. I have hypertension and high cholesterol. I guess I have to fight for it and tell them this is the only dr. I am comfortable with. Was just wondering if anyone had this experience. Thanks everyone!

The center I used is out of my network and I was approved. The center treated me as if I was in network so it didn't cost me any more.
