January 16...haven't been told of pre-op diet

I am reading a lot of stuff about the pre-op diet. I have met with a nutritionist a couple of times but haven't been advised of a specific diet I need to follow. My next and last visit with my doctor before surgery on the 16th is the 8th. I guess I will be advised of anything then. Meanwhile I have been eating horribly because I feel like it is my last chance to eat all of the foods that I "love." It is those foods that got me this way though, so I really hope this is my farewell party.

We all go through the same thing! I ate like a piglet the days prior to the start of 2 week liquid diet! It's l mental, a coping mechanism I guess! On my last visit to the doctor prior to surgery, I started the liquids!

Glad to hear that, I was starting to feel like everyone has more willpower than I do. I am really praying that I can make the lifestyle changes I need to in order to make this work.

I actually had one doctor tell me to loose weight or he would cancel the surgery with no details on what to do. I dropped him.

Dr Ali put me on a 2 week liquid diet. He wanted there to be suficient room while he was in there and she said that it would make the first week less difficult
