Iulizbug 0 Posted April 11, 2006 Hi guys~ I am having alot of problems trying to find a good aftercare provider here in Tampa, Florida that will do my fills for a reasonable price. I was banded by Dr.Ortiz in TJ on March 10th. I tried going to a medical center from the Fillcenterusa website near me in St.Petersburg but my experience there was awful and I refuse to go back. The nurse who was going to do my fill decided not to do it, lied about have fluoro there when they didn't and then still charged me for a fill and an office visit. I was charged $299 for NOTHING! :angry I am so upset about this and everything but right now my main concern is finding a doctor to do my fills. I have UHC and would love to use my insurance and pay a cheap co-pay but if that isn't possible I will just settle for an honest, competent doctor that won't rip me off and will give me some satiation. I am so hungry all of the time and it is painful. :help:Does anybody know of any doctors that would possibly take me so I dont' have to go back to TJ? KSWAN 0 Posted April 11, 2006 Hi Liz, Go to the website shedthepounds.com, it is a bariatric center in Largo and I called them, they do fills for patients who have had lapband done elsewhere. The first is 550.00 with floro and if they deem it safe to do fill without floro after that it is 200.00. I am 6 days post op and that is where I am going in 6 weeks. They were recommended by Ready For A change who is good information/referal site...Hope this helps and if you choose to use them let me know....
