Hi Connie,

Your profile wasn't filled out so I will assume you already had surgery and are eating solids. You should eat no more than a 'cup' per meal. We usually break it down to this : 3-4 ounces of lean meat (protein), 1/4 cup veggies, 1/4 starch/carb. Or if you don't eat starches or carbs you can make up the other 1/4 with more veggies. Rule of thumb is never to eat more than a cup per meal.

Hope that was helpful....

Connie many doctors also suggest 2 "healthy" Snacks if needed.

I was never a veggie eating person... now I eat a lot of raw veggies with a great low cal dip I make. In my fridge I alway have cold chunks of turkey that I also snack on (along with dip)... great source of Protein and takes the edge of my afternoon hunger.

Here's another dip that I make often... LOVE greek yogurt.

Greek Yogurt & Whipped Feta Dip

Ingredients

4 ounces Greek yogurt

6 ounces feta cheese

2 teaspoons fresh dill (chopped)

1 teaspoon salt

1 clove garlic

Instructions

Combine yogurt, feta, dill, garlic and salt in a food processor and

whip until smooth and creamy. Refrigerate.

Great dip for a veggie platter or use as sandwich spread or in

a pita.
