DELETE THIS ACCOUNT! 12,703 Posted January 2, 2013 If it can't be put in a measuring cup (though I do measure popcorn that way), a food scale is helpful. There are 8oz in a cup, so that can help you. As far as things like sandwiches- think a deck of cards or the palm of your hand. That's about the size you're aiming for. Best wishes. 2 zinhaa and ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this

FLORIDAYS 3,040 Posted January 3, 2013 Im not sure that i am measuring correctly.. How do I measure something that cant be put in a measuring cup correctly ? Examples..Popcorn, Sandwich, Vegetables. Popcorn and veggies measure fine in a measuring cup. Sandwhiches I would do individually... 1 slice of wheat bread equals 50 calories about I serving of starch which is about 1/4 cp. then I would weigh the meat and whatever else. 2 ☠carolinagirl☠ and Domika03 reacted to this
FLORIDAYS 3,040 Posted January 3, 2013 I have that problem when eating out. Hard to judge. 3 oz of meat is about the size of your palm. 1/2 small baked potato is about 1/4 c... 1/3 of a larger one.... Veggies...4 tablespoons is about right. 1 ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this

arcarter 9 Posted January 3, 2013 Another question.. What if u weigh some of ur meal and measure another part of ur meal ? How do u get the equivalent of it being a cup ? Example: 3 oz chicken breast and 2 stalks of celery with cream cheese. How many cups is that ? Im sorry Im asking 100 questions. Lol. Im just trying to prevent over eating.
