If it can't be put in a measuring cup (though I do measure popcorn that way), a food scale is helpful.

There are 8oz in a cup, so that can help you.

As far as things like sandwiches- think a deck of cards or the palm of your hand. That's about the size you're aiming for.

Best wishes.

Popcorn and veggies measure fine in a measuring cup. Sandwhiches I would do individually... 1 slice of wheat bread equals 50 calories about I serving of starch which is about 1/4 cp. then I would weigh the meat and whatever else.

3 oz of meat is about the size of your palm. 1/2 small baked potato is about 1/4 c... 1/3 of a larger one.... Veggies...4 tablespoons is about right.

Is there a website that you guys know of that teaches all of this ? Im talking about raw veggies..like celery, broccoli etc. If i had a cup (2 big pieces of broccoli) of fresh veggies i wouldnt stay full long.

Another question..

What if u weigh some of ur meal and measure another part of ur meal ? How do u get the equivalent of it being a cup ?

Example: 3 oz chicken breast and 2 stalks of celery with cream cheese.

How many cups is that ? Im sorry Im asking 100 questions. Lol. Im just trying to prevent over eating.
