Lap band + plication

Thank you all so much for the thoughtful and informative replies. It is hard to decide what to do because of the lack of information out there regarding plication. My surgeon has been doing it for only about 9 months. I am concerned about the lack of information/research but am also like the thought that it isn't a cutting of the stomach and it helps some to feel full.

I am still not 100% sure what I will do. My LapBand surgery is scheduled for next Wednesday (1/16). I am nervous and excited. I know that this is only a tool and am ready for the challenges ahead.

if you help the band and plication (by eating right, the allotted amounts) you will be successful.

I agree with CG. It is up to you to do what is right, whatever procedure you get. They are all tools to help us, but each person has to work and changing their eating and lifestyle habits to be successful.
