5 Months Out & No Real Weight Loss-Is This Normal?

So' date=' did any of you fail to lose much weight until you reached the green zone? Sometimes I feel like not even trying until I've reached that elusive green zone![/quote']

I've lost 104 pounds since 3/1/12, but I have not reached the green zone yet...I do believe I'm close

I was like you banded August 31' date=' 2012 and I am only now starting to lose. I had to get my third fill to now lose 2 pounds a week and I just natrually now stop eating.

It is way harder to do that if you don't have the right fill and I felt like a failure and forked over a ton of money for nothing.

Hense this is my first post since Novemeber.

Hang in I went for a fill every four weeks until I got here it will work.[/quote']

What now do you eat on average a day?

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
