wannaB 0 Posted April 11, 2006 I have the Swedish Band and want to get my port switched out for a new low profile port by my doc that did my surgery (Dr. Arturo Rodreguiz) said it cant be done. My question is has anyone that has a Swedish band like me gotten their ports switched out for a low profile port? If you have where did you get it done, how much did it cost, and who did it????? I just dont understand how other bandsters with the Inamed band, etc. are able to get thier ports switched but the Swedish bandsters cant, they are basically the same thing, the Swedish band just holds more fill liquid.< /p> :help: wannab
Marimaru 7 Posted April 11, 2006 wannab, I imagine that the low profile port that the folks with inamed bands can get, is made by inamed. If Johnson and Johnson doesn't make a low profile port, that's probably why you can't have one.. Maybe your doctor can relocate your port to a more subtle place? Or deeper in the tissue? diva 0 Posted April 12, 2006 Hi, Question from me who is learning, learning, learning. What is a low profile port? Also, I noticed some people talking about how the port is in the way of their wired bras? This confused me since I actually got to feel someone's port and it was down above her belt line but way below the bra area. I am not trying to hijack the thread, it seems kinda in line with the original question. But if you feel I am out of line, I understand. Anway... I am guessing low profile is a port that is not easy to see or feel? And this would make placement a large part of it? Thanks so much
