A New New Dawn 1,695 Posted December 30, 2012 You have made great progress so far and can do this again! I would recommend reconnecting with your surgeon and if he/she has a nutritionist in the office it would be good to speak with them as well. I have seen many people who have been a couple or more years out and seem to benefit from a refresher on the guidelines and methods, etc. New Year, new you!!! 1 ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this

I think you're right. I've had zero contact with my surgeon's office for about 8 months, so I think I should make a few calls! Thanks for posting
joni2 27 Posted January 1, 2013 My biggest fear is not finishing what I have started . Don't give up! Remember how hard the liquid phase was and the gas. You look you g on your picture. I'm 61 and wish I had this surgery when I was young. I've missed out on a lot but, I'm making up for lost time and loving it. Don't go back you deserve it. Bad knees, being out of breath is no respecter of persons or age. YOU CAN FINISH. Do it for yourself . Joni2
ArmyW!feLori 4 Posted January 2, 2013 I too am starting over. I've lost 127lbs so far, but have gained 15 back. My problem was a band slip. I recently moved and had been filled too tight before I left my old doctor and it was 4 months before I got approved to see another doctor. In the mean time I struggled to eat and had terrible reflux, needless to say my band slipped. I had corrective surgery on December 4th. I am very thankful that he did not have to remove my band completely. Now I am again in bandster hell since he had to remove all the Fluid. This past week I can tell I'm pretty much all healed and need complete willpower to not over do it. I come on here to find support reading everyones stories and have joined a WLS group through my doctor. I am determined to finish losing the rest of my weight and reach my goal. laurigee 545 Posted January 3, 2013 I also need to recommit! I'm worried I may have a slipped band. I called my doctor and am hoping if I remove all the Fluid from it, it will go back into place. I was at my goal of 160 when I felt exhausted and that I needed a break from everything! Bad idea. I am now 202 and need a kick in the butt! Maybe we need to start a "re-start challenge" to inspire and support each other! I seem to do better when I'm being watched. Lol...
