Grats! wow what a difference 55 pounds makes, had to look at the pictures then look again to make sure it was the same person in the same thread lol Besides the obvious everyone else has said, I can see a very big difference in your face.

I can't wait to get there, not sure if I have the courage to join a gym until Ive lost down to 200 though:paranoid

I'm struggling along unbanded and trying to have the patience to wait for all these roadblocks to stop being thrown at me! and get mine....

GREAT Idea on the Friday treat thing - I'm going to use it starting today since it's Friday :clap2:

Okay, these pictures I'm posting out of the insistence of my husband. I've NEVER taken a picture in a swimming suit, much less post it to the world!!!

Girl, you look good in that suit!!! Glad your hubby made you do it!

Diane you look amazing! I love the bathing suit pictures. I hope you're planning on wearing it in public and holding your head high while you do it!

Keep 'em coming.

BTW, your before pics look so much like mine it isn't even funny - right down to the stretchy bra - does it have a row of hooks and eyes in the front? lol It's me, I swear.

Hi Pinkmary! I'm 5'7". Holy cow - you've lost 80 lbs!!! I would soooo love to be there too. It looks like you & I are the same height & started at about the same weight. I am sure you look much better then you think you do. ;) It was my husband who coaxed me to post these pictures & I think he wants me to start believing what everyone is telling me!! Sooo, I understand ya when you say you really can't see the difference. I can't see a difference until I see a picture side by side. Try taking some pictures and I bet you'll see it!!

Hi Tina!! I'll check my personal e-mail.

Diane,

These pics show your weight loss is much more dramatic than what you can see from your family Easter photos. You really should be very proud of your success.

I love that you are realistic about enjoying the things you love, like chocolate. If we didn't love stuff that was bad for us, we wouldn't need WLS surgery to begin with. You've found a way to satisfy those cravings, while still achieving your weight loss goals. You should be proud of yourself. That's what it's all about, making choices that allow us to live with the band forever.

Congratulations!!

;) Kristin

Diane, we are alsoat the same height!

as about the pics i did that, i put photos side by side and i still dont see

any dramatic difference like yours! i swear! BUT... but... but...

i do not exercising like you.. thats must be the reason! you look even more skinny like your weight says..!! i think i must start working

that treadmill :/

anyway Diane you are an example and an inspiration for all of us!!!

and i mean the people who really want to lose weight...

Congratulations! you make me feel very proud for our July05 little team ;)

the biggest "secret" of Diane is that she is exercising!

and that is something that we should think it all of us!

Look guys what exercising, patience, and following bandsters rules

can do in such a sort of time! Diane i cant stop saying BRAVO to you!

BRAVO! BRAVO! BRAVO!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
