My bf and I just went to a local diner for lunch. The idea was daunting to me as I'm only on day 2 of mushies, but anyway, I ordered 1 scrambled egg beater and oatmeal, did I overdo it? I only had like 9 bites of the oatmeal, I was starving!! But now Im totally stuffed and I ate too fast! Don't think I was ready for dining out, but I kinda had no choice, in the middle of a hectic day

My question would be what does your doctor consider mushies. My first week of mushies was yogurt or cottage cheese. Oatmeal would not have been approved by my doctor nor eggs. Both of those would either be second week of mushies or solid. My recommendation would be to stick to less dense foods for now such as cottage cheese, ricotta or yogurt.

First, please fill in your profile so we know you better?

Second, I really doubt you overdid it. Many of us had setbacks during the first month. It's a difficult time especially since it's the Holidays. BTW-Eggs(whole or whites) can be one of the toughest foods for us to eat early on and even after we're in the green zone. Sounds like your band is working perfectly if you are full or satisfied.

have some hot tea or just hot Water if you don't like tea. if you had added a lot of milk to your oatmeal you would probably fee; better. Stick to what your doctor told you and always pack a Protein Drink with you for days like today. Also Soup would be a good thing to order

Way too much for too soon. You still might be healing inside. I added an extra liquid week to my stage 1 and then yougurts, apple sauces, baby stewed foods for different flavors in Stage 2. People respond to different foods and eggs are tough on most. Try some Gerbers baby foods out of Walmart. Lots of different flavors. Baby oatmeal might be better for you at this stage. Very inexpensive at Walmart. It just oats that is very fine in texture and doesn't lump up. Looks like cream of wheat Cereal. Use nonfat milk as well.

Thanks for the input! They said I could have Soups and mashed steamed veggies. Does that sound ok? Ugh now I'm questioning

my dietitian, this is so frustrating!
