Chair Aerobics

Recommended Posts

Before I had my surgery, I met with the nutritionist and she advised me to start walking and do toning exercises. I have a really bad ankle problem that may require therapy or surgery. I love walking and after my surgery, the ankle pain was gone for almost a week and I enjoyed walking again!!!. Well it came back!! :( I told her what happened and she told me to try chair aerobics. She said sparkpeople had great videos, but I can't find it and I tried YouTube and I only see short clips for adverting purposes.

Do anyone know anything about this??

I'm not sure about the chair aerobics' date=' but is there anywhere near you where you can take Water aerobics? It's a great work out but not hard on your joints.

Best wishes![/quote']

I did Water aerobics earlier this year and LOVED it!!! The jumping bothered my ankle. I also need something at home at this point because the y hours don't work with my schedule right now.

Unfortunately, I can't swim so I was thinking about doing that in a few months when my schedule opens up.

I remember my mom having a video or DVD called Sit and Be Fit. I suggest searching Amazon for that and it will bring up similar items too!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
