Well I'm trying to find something good to blend stuff with especially after surgery. So I'm looking and buying things ahead of time. I just wanted to know has anyone tried the nutribullet and does it work well?

I haven't had my surgery yet (scheduled for 12/31) but I bought the Bella 13330 Blender at Macy's for my Protein Drinks. I like it pretty well. I like that I can drink my shake right from the blender cup. It comes with a lip attachment that you put on after you take the blade attachment off. It's small, quick, easy and fast to clean up. I can blend a drink and put it in the refrigerator or in the freezer in the same cup.

Hi,

Congrats!

I use a vitamix works great. My friend has the one you have and it works just fine. pineapple is a little tough for her but all the berries and bananas do well.

I bought a bunch of 4 oz portion tupperware containers. (baby section at target, so inexpensive) I shove all my food in there and eat it all! I gave away all my 24 oz portion containers. I also bought metal measuring cups for tablespoon size measurements.

Thanks for the info. I haven't had my surgery yet and I don't have a date yet. I'm still in my manditory 6 month weight management class. I will be finished the class on feb 14, 2013. I completed everything else my insurance requires. So once my class is over surgery will be on the way. I just like to buy things ahead of time.

I used my daughters baby spoons the first few weeks to teach me to eat small bites. Of course she is 28...but I always kept them in the silverware drawer for some silly reason... LOL

Omg I been trying to eat smaller portions and chew like 20 times before swallowing. My dietician told me to start now before surgery. Well I was struggling with that and since u said something about smaller utensils I'm guessing that's why lol. I was still using a regular size fork. I will start using my 2yr old forks now. Thank you so much

My pleasure.... It's those little things that help so much. My dr said my bites should be about the size of a finger nail...

Smaller plates are also nice, most people call them salad plates, this way your plate looks full compared to a regular plate. sugar free popsicles were big for me right after surgery. My throat was sore the first couple of days and these helped sooth and were just good in general. Have a pillow around to press against your belly when you get up from a sitting position.

I also have the Bella and it works pretty good, inexpensive (and probably on a big sale right now or this week) and does the job.

I use the Blender Bottle to mix my Protein Shakes so I can blend them on the go.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
