JerseyShoreDisneyDiva 113 Posted December 23, 2012 Why am I doing this? I don't even feel close to full but almost every time I take a breath, I cough. I didn't eat fast either. I am 3 1/2 weeks post op.
Maddysgram 6,159 Posted December 24, 2012 We maybe doing this b/c you are full, its a different full after being banded. You will no longer get the stuffed full feeling you're used to. Cough, sneeze, hiccup, sigh ,(me) pain in shoulder can all signal you are full. 1 JerseyShoreDisneyDiva reacted to this
CHEZNOEL 4,061 Posted December 24, 2012 Sounds like a full signal to me. And I mean lap band full not pre-lapband full! I always stop at the early signal... gets really ugly after that! 2 JerseyShoreDisneyDiva and Maddysgram reacted to this
Summerrain 520 Posted December 24, 2012 From time to time I get the coughing and its one of the signs for me I've had enough. It's odd sometimes I get a runny nose other times its the coughing. 1 Maddysgram reacted to this

It's odd sometimes I get a runny nose other times its the coughing. Weird cause I have had the runny nose thing, too. It is just so daunting cause this is happening and I am still hungry. And it isn't head hunger it's definitely stomach hunger. :-(

slimmingdown28 0 Posted December 28, 2012 My nurse told that coughing is generally a sign that your band may be too tight as well as the hiccuping I used to get hiccups as a soft stop then I had .25 cc out of my band and I actually burp not lol no more hiccuping
slimmingdown28 0 Posted December 28, 2012 I been band over a month ago and it been 4days and my shoulder is hurting like the day of my surgery has anyone still get that my dr said I'm eating to fast I don't think i am Sent from my iPhone using LapBandTalk My does the same thing something about pressure and nerve endings being close to the band it's a normal sign " hard stop" that means your past full and you've eaten too much I usually lay down when it happens ( if I gave that convenience) and it goes away quicker just make sure you have a couple soft pillows behind your shoulders. If it doesn't stop you should see your doc.
