I think is so great these hubby and wife banding. Do you ever get concerned that one will have a greater loss than the other or will be more successful? Just curious about the counseling related to this.

We don't... I know he will lose faster than I will (just the nature of a man usually)... but honestly.. we he has only lost 7 lbs more than me right now. It's nice having a person to help hold you accountable and understands what you are going through

Hi! My doc told me that I can have sex when I feel up to it. Didn't give a time frame. I was banded 5 days ago and my drive is starting to wake up . ;)

I was banded, my hobby had pastric bypass 1 month after me. We waited that long so I could feel well enough to take care of him. In both cases we were told 4-6 wks

My doctor said whenever I felt up to it... I waited all of five days after surgery.... And now that I'm two months since surgery, OMG, sex has gotten sooooo much better!!!! I don't think I could wait 3-6 weeks... Stick to normal positions ( doggy style is your friend) don't try any of the Karma Sutra or any from Cosmopolitan Magazine and you should be fine

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
