lovechunks 0 Posted April 9, 2006 Ok-this may sound trivial, but I am getting ready to purchase new eyewear. My last ones were over $600, so I wonder if I should wait a few months? Not banded yet. Soon.
Sugar1 0 Posted April 9, 2006 Recently on the news they were talking about people who had the bypass (gastric) who were severely deficient in Vitamin A losing their eyesight. I supposed if we all keep taking our Vitamins, and have our Vitamin levels checked regularly, we should be okay.
lovechunks 0 Posted April 9, 2006 Sugar1, you bring up an interesting aspect: nutritional deficiencies, etc. I posted the question because I have been on dozens of boards and read thousands of threads, but not anything on eyesight. I am one of those people with a "large head" and it is difficult finding eyewear that looks good on me. Contacts are not an option. Thanks for your comments. late 0 Posted April 11, 2006 hey lovechunks! You might want to wait. My mother-in-law had gastric by-pass surgery in may '05 - after losing about 80 pounds her eyesight actually drastically improved.
