Luce3 9 Posted December 17, 2012 Hello everyone, I'm currently in hospital about 5 hours post op from having my gall bladder removed, not feeling too bad, a little sore but overall quite well. I was just wondering how people went with recovery from gall bladder removal? Did you find it easier/ to recover from than the lapband? I'm really hoping to feel back to normal by Christmas. Happy Christmas to all you Lapbanders !
cheryl2586 3,053 Posted December 17, 2012 I am five days post gallbladder surgery and am doing well. I only had minimal discomfort the first two days after that I have been doing laundry and small things around the house.

cheryl2586 3,053 Posted December 17, 2012 To me it was a piece of cake. The thought that I can eat without the horrid pain I was having is a blessing in its self. Other then the incision in my naval itiching like crazy I would say all in all I am only taking alleve at night time as that is the time it bothers me the most. But other then that I feel awesome. Luce3 9 Posted December 17, 2012 Yeah it is seeming a lot easier to recover from than lapband, I have no shoulder tip pain (touch wood) thank god, as last time I had it very badly. Plus I only just got given a second round of painkillers 7 hours after my first lot and I probably didn't even need this second lot! Looking forward to eating Breakfast tomorrow without worrying about the pain, even if it is hospital food!
